This sounds amazing so far. These are the lowest prices you will ever find for a Keurig brewer. And because it sounds too good to be true, you must be wondering what’s the catch? Well, here’s how this program works…
How Keurig’s Starter Kit Program Works?
When purchasing a brewer via this program, you are committing to a purchase of certain number of pods using auto delivery. How many pods and how long the commitment is will depend on your model of choice. As soon as you sign up for the program, you will be enrolled to the auto-delivery program and will be asked to setup your schedule, pick your favorite pods and so on. You can always change your pod selection and edit your schedule via your account.
What You Are Committing To For Each Model
If you opt for a FREE K-Select or K-Mini, here’s your commitment
Commitment Period: 12-months
Number of Boxes: 24 boxes of 20, 22 or 24 pod count. Or, 24 bags of coffee.
Delivery Period: Over 6 orders (you can’t buy all boxes in a single delivery, has to be spread out)
Minimum per Order: 4 boxes or bags.
Auto-Delivery Discount:
You can set up a scheduled delivery that will ship 2-10 weeks period, and you’ll receive a 25% off most pods and coffees.
How Pods Count Towards Your Annual Commitment
- Every FOUR boxes with 20/22/24 pods counts towards your annual commitment as four.
- If you choose to buy larger boxes with 44 or 48 pods, Each box will count as TWO towards your commitment.
- Each box with 60/72 pods count as THREE, each box with 80 to 96 pods will count as FOUR towards your commitment.
The EXCEPTIONS
Dunkin Donuts Original Blend Coffee 44CT and Cinnamin’ Nutmeg Coffee 60CT and all variety packs count as one box/bag towards the commitment.
What Happens If You Don’t Meet the Commitment:
If for any reason you did not meet your commitment of 24 boxes within 12-months period, you will be charged with the list price of the machine. The price will be calculated based on the list price of the coffee maker on your initial purchase date and Auto delivery enrollment.
What Happens If You Meet Your Commitment
If you’ve met your commitment, you will continue to be on the Auto Delivery program and receive 25% off your purchase until you manually cancel your subscription.

Can I Cancel My Subscription At Any Time? What Is The Cancellation Fee?
Like I said, once you buy your Keurig via the Starter Kit program, you are automatically enrolled to the Auto Delivery subscription and your 12-month commitment starts.
If you wish to cancel your subscription BEFORE meeting your commitment, you can do it via your account BUT you will be charged for the remaining price of your brewer right away.
If you have already met your commitment, you can cancel your subscription without any additional cancellation fees.
Is Keurig Starter Kit Program a Good Deal?
Good deals will obviously vary from one person to another. What Keurig is doing here is making sure they sell enough pods to make up for the machine’s price. You, as a user, once you buy a Keurig, you are committed to K-Cup pods anyways. But, without the contract and commitments, you’ll be purchasing those pods at your own pace. So I’d suggest you try and estimate how many pods you could go through over a period of time to see if this is going to be a good deal for you.
Also, buying machines at 50% OFF has an easier commitment than getting a FREE machine, which requires you to buy more boxes. Buying the pods in larger quantities makes it easier, too. If you end up with pods piling up in your pantry, I wouldn’t worry about them expiring as these last a long time. I would, however, advise that you order pods that you like the most and don’t buy anything you haven’t tried yet in large quantities.
